FAQ
Q: Does the Venue allow dogs?
A: The venue allows dogs on leashes, but only in the town area, not on the trains or in the Grove. For this reason we are asking guests to please, leave their pups at home.

Q: Will there be parking?
A: Yes, the parking lot is at the entrance to the Railroad grounds, and there will be a section for guests.

Q: Is it a long walk from the parking lot to the train?
A: Aaron will provide an exact measurement soon, but says it is under a 10 minute walk.

Q: Will this event be inside or outside?
A: Little bit of both - weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside, in a Cathedral Grove, and guests will be transported there by a train. The reception will take place inside, in the Bret Harte Hall.

Q: What's the weather line in CA in June?
A: It is warm, think non humid 70's. The ceremony will be a little cooler, completely shaded by trees.

Q: Is there a dress code?
A: We are asking guests to dress up - think of it as an excuse to wear casual black tie! The brides color is a deep deep purple, and the groom's color is a dark dark green, but guests are not required to choose a favorite (purplecoughpurple) There will be a ride on a steam train, dancing, and some board games. Keep in mind the ceremony takes place outside, in a forest, so you might want to avoid wearing heels - the bridal party certainly is!

Q: Are my kids invited?
A: Yes! There will be children there ranging in age from itty bitty to asking you the most ridiculous questions, so children are more than welcome. When you RSVP, please remember to fill in the question about how old they are and their names.

Q: Will there be adult beverages?
A: Yes, we will be providing beer and wine. The venue does not allow hard alcohol, so we are requesting guests refrain from bringing this with them. Gifts of liquor will not be allowed to be served at the reception.

Q: I'm coming from Far, Far Away - Anything I should know?
A: Why, yes! Please refer to the Travel page under the Accommodations tab for the nearest airport (SJC).
